Millionaire, playboy, philanthropist, super hero that uses technology to bring down the bad guys. Both are members of elite crime fighting organisations. Main differences being the ages they were when their parents died (even the how is similar) and Iron Man is public with his identity, while Batman is private.

So 2 (admittedly significant) differences, otherwise we couldn't have a movie with them both, because they are they same person, just in different universes and it would cause a time ending paradox should they ever meet.

And according to the Flash TV show, Marvel comic books exist within the DC universe, so Iron Man could in theory be inspired by Batman

I'm not geek.
