I wanted to get 2 NB, but the new V2 base was a deal breaker for me. If something like the V1 becomes an option again, I'm in like sin

Rob, do you think they will come with a drip tip this time?

From ECF (my insertion in [ ] brackets):

While the V2 Nuppin does fit [on a standard/high profile Reo], it sits rather low in the standard grand catch cup, so you will have to build the coil a lot higher to reach the air slots. Peter never intended the V2 Nuppins to be used on the standard grand as a selling point, however with removal of the deck lip it does make it possible but slightly impractical. I'm using rayon and a 50-50 pg/vg juice running 1.2 ohms, so for me that build with the high coil position and long tails wicks fine for me but might not be to everybody's liking.

Picture a daddy long leg spider as the coil.

Super! Thanks @Andre. You made my day!

The Nuppins have been paid for and are on their way to Florida and then they will leave by Courier to Darkest Africa!

The costs so far... real bummer on the rate of exchange... :-(

Costs still to come are the courier charge from the US to SA and then Vat and Documentation when the parcel arrives and local courier charges. Please let me know if you guys want to combine parcels to your town to one central person.

If anyone wants a copy of the spreadsheet (to check calculations) at any time just email me at rob at aat dot co dot za. Please don't post your email address here and ask me to email it to you. If you do do that I'm going to have to hurt you for not reading instructions. But if you send me an email the spreadsheet will be with you at speed.

Pdib on V2:

Here's the changes you'll see in the V2 Nuppin':

No Lip. See discussion and description about that here: I'm thinkin' maybe we should try this again? . . . . and you kids should behave yourselves

Here's a pic:

This means that there's no "stop" for the topcap, other than the top of your mod! If you run this atty on a mod that doesn't catch the topcap (isn't wider than the atty), you could short out. USE THIS ATTY AT YOUR OWN RISK of shorting out on the cap.

EDIT: although, and I'm just speculating here . . .. perhaps the o-rings holding the cap away from the base might prove a bit of a conundrum for stray electrons . . . . .

Also, the machine shop has gone to great lengths to make the centerpost easily adjustable, yet not spin-out when capturing 24g wire at the positive post. I've checked it, and it works GREAT!

Lastly (that I can think of now): these atties were made here in the USA, by a machine shop who have shown excellence and precision in their machining (on these atties). It is my humble opinion that the precision and care, the tolerances, and the buttery smooth action of these atties is top-notch. Mind you, this is my impression as a consumer (my impressions as I opened the box, unpacked, inspected these atties and ran a bunch of them through their paces). You may find otherwise. You may want to wait until you hear some feedback from other customers. I can't claim that YOU'LL be happy with these atties. I can tell you that I, personally, am!

The "finish" on these atties is a "machine finish". They have not been polished, tumbled, brushed, anything. They are "straight off the mill" for looks. They are also milled to a very, very fine spec: ~16 microinch milled surface spec. If you want a polished look, these are milled so fine/clean and smooth, that you can get that polish with 5 minutes and a hand rub with some polishing agent/compound.

A must say that I am highly impressed with the manufacturing quality of the Nuppin ver.1, and don't expect anything less from the ver.2, but it just don't suit my personal vaping style.

Looks really awesome. Thanks for the pics @Andre
And thanks @Rob Fisher once again for launching these babies in our direction!

The Nuppins are leaving Florida today... so they should be here in the next 3-4 days... I would like to get the waybills and stuff ready for when they arrive...

Please can you give me your real name, delivery address and cell number via email (rob@aat.co.za) and whether you are combining shipping with anyone else.
