My 6 months old Kangertech topbox mini mod has died. Liquid got into the mod and filled up around the battery indicator icon changing the color from white to yellow, the color of the liquid.
I then burnt my fingers trying to remove the battery as smoke poured out from the unit.

Trying to decide on what next to buy is no easy task. The above mod is highly rated by some
but one review rejected this mod due to "auto firing"

The 50w Heatvape Invader mini is selling for R500 and is highly reviewed but there are complaints of the battery life being low, battery heating, etc.

So, can someone please direct me to a mod that they are happy with. I have been vaping for five years and every mod I have every used either leaks onto the battery terminal, or out the air vents.

It seems your bad experiences have been more with leaky tanks than bad mods. There are no leak-proof mods afaik, if your tank is dumping juice, your mod will suffer.

Perhaps a switch to bottom-fed tanks would solve your problems? I have three (Avo 24, Limitless Plus, Theorem) and it's hard to imagine any of them ever leaking juice onto the mod.

Agree with @RichJB. The problem is the tank not the mod.
My Kanger subtank also had a mind of its own and would leak out of the airholes at will. If you're dead set on an RTA, the Wotofo Sapor RTA is the only tank I've had which never leaks, sweats or excretes. It has top airflow, so unless you turn it upside down, you pretty much can't get it to leak. It comes in 22mm or 25mm if you want a bit more juice capacity.

Good luck with finding a new setup that works for you.

Wicked properly, my griffin 22 without the top airflow has never leaked on me. And it gets jostled around in my pocket all day. Rock solid RTA imo.

Sqounker for the win, love my drip boxes and Reo's.

Top airflow certainly makes sense. Can you tell me who sells the Wotofo Sapor?

why dont you try the cubis styled tanks , they are leak proof

I got mine from Sir Vape:

The 25mm has only just been released - I don't think anyone in SA has the 25mm version yet. You might have to look at importing from a China vendor if you can wait that long

I bought my Topbox mini kit from Sir Vape. The tank immediately started leaking at the air vents and Sir Vape informed me that not enough cotton had been used in the wick forgetting that it was they who had made the coil /wick when I visited the shop. Not impressed by that.
Anyway, I have just ordered the Heatvape Invader and the Eleaf Pico mods from eCiggies. I have old tanks to try, Evods, clearomizers and eleafs.
