Hi guys.
Is there any recommended glue or a way of getting the piece stuck back to the Door?

Q-bond is the way, the truth and the life.

Don't settle for less. Available at Midas, picnpay, Game and other leading stores nationwide

tanx buddy. dumb question, Is it a glue ready to use or the one where u have to buy a kit and mix them together?

Qbond is just and old trick of using superglue and bicarbonate of soda? Yhey just mixed some charcoal with the bicarbonate of soda to make it black and charge you a huge price for that A R10 tube of superglue with some bicarbonate of soda that you have in your kitchen will do the same trick.

However I dont think it will work in your case, its to ruff. If the piece fits perfect in the hole, just use superglue, its the thinnest/clear glue you can get

I couldn't disagree more.

Q-bond is an extremely good super glue. For your mod you'll just use it as is. It comes with a powder too. But you wouldn't use that for your purpose. It would be more for fixing bigger plastic parts. Chinese super glue at R5-10 won't last a week. Q-bond will last a lifetime. I regularly fix bike parts with Q-bond. Parts that are used daily like starter buttons and I've yet to find a piece I can't fix or a a fixed part that has failed.

The glue is ready to use (don't use the powder) and if it doesn't work I will upload a video of myself glueing my hand to a brick as well as the trip to the ER.

Q bond is not average superglue. Also for the price (around R70) you'll have enough superglue for the next 2 years.

Use as little as you possibly can. I would apply with a toothpick. You don't need much.

The mixing one is a 2 part epoxy resin, no its not that one, its a CA glue.
Sometimes you can find just the refill bottles alone for about R30, seeing as you dont need the filler powders, it might be a better idea.
I've had mine for about 4 years, keep it in the fridge.

Most good quality glues will work in this case. The important part is that is should not be flexible once cured for this application. A thin epoxy or hard plastic/resin glue with liquid activator will also work. Loctitie makes a UV activated glue that is used for the glass and resin awards that you often see. This will be perfect but is very expensive.

With all that said I'd also go for Q-Bond. Be aware that once dry - only a couple of seconds - it is not fully cured yet. Leave it for a day or two before handling it.

Qbond on its own, down the crack. Stick together.
Qbond from the back, with the powder.
Then sand it down once it's cured.

Thanks Guys i aint a good handy man lol or do any DIY stuff but gona use all of this vital info and give it a bash this week, much apreesh
