Hi All,

I am finally looking at the possibility of going DIY route for vape juice and i have always wondered, i have seen photos guys on here where they have literally what looks like the entire stock of concentrates from a vendor, What i wanted to know was do you actually go through each concentrate and add it to the basket or is there something like a bundle that you can buy from the vendors that includes the range of flavor concentrates for a particular brand?

Hey man, welcome to the rabbit hole

Yup, it can definitely look intimidating when you see someone’s shelf stacked with every flavour under the sun — but most of us didn’t start out that way. It’s a slow (and slightly addictive) build over time.

If you’re looking for a solid starting point without going through the madness of adding a hundred concentrates one by one, BLCK actually has recipe bundles that are perfect for beginners. They include everything you need for specific tried-and-tested mixes:
https://blck.co.za/collections/recipe-bundle

Also — we’re actually doing a DIY Mix Meet soon, and it’s happening at BLCK! You’ll have access to all the flavours you need, plus a bunch of friendly faces who can guide you through your first mixes. No better way to learn than hands-on with some of the OGs.

Let us know if you want more details — it’s going to be a lekker day

Thank you so much for the help and the link, I have added a bunch of recipe cards to my basket just waiting for pay day now

...pro tip

When starting out, never mix up a large amount (100 - 200ml) of a recipe, rather do like 20 - 30ml, it saves you from ending up with a juice which you might not like.

It also gives you an opportunity to tweak a concentrate up or down to your liking.

All the best.

I can also reccomend BLck.

I started with a few different pre mixes and as I learend from there I moved on and now I can confidently mix flavours for friends without too much trouble based on what they tell me they want, and what I have learned from my time mixing.

Oh, and while we’re spilling the DIY beans — I’ve got a little something that might help you not blow up your first few mixes (been there, done that, still vaping the evidence).
It’s a no-nonsense guide I slapped together for folks just getting started:
https://oldgoatvape.co.za/blogs/goat-school/mix-it-like-a-goat-your-first-steps-into-diy-e-liquid
Mix it like a Goat – because baa-sic is boring, and we’re here to stir the pot properly.
Give it a read before you end up with custard that tastes like wet socks.
