The most common position for coils is horizontal.
Then a few are vertical.
But how does in between the two work?

I already have an idea from my first attempts at installing my own coils.

* grapples with screwdriver, trying to get coil to sit horizontally
* fails and looks forlornly at wonky coil
* explains to onlooker that diagonal coils are how Rip does it coz it improves the flavour
* wicks so that the cotton coming out of the high end of the coil looks like a bad comb-over
* takes a toot and pretends that it's tres excellente
* secretly offers a prayer of thanks that onlooker isn't a vaper and thus won't ask to try it

Most people I have seen do 45° angled coils. I build like that in my Odins. Also like to go about 30° slanted in my Cyclone buils.

Depends on the atty and how you position the coils in atty's. IOW, vertical coils can be just as good as or better than horizontal coils with the right builds/atty's.

I have several atty's that are stellar with vertical coils, both those made specifically for vertical coils and some that are normally built with horizontal coils.

Learning by doing is the spice of life in vaping. So don't be afraid to dive into the unknown and experiment. The rewards might just be your best yet in vaping.

For me coil position is like setting up a scope on a new rifle. A little bit lower or closer to the deck will make a huge difference in flavour. Some coils like it closer to the air holes, but all depends on the atty. On the Snapdragon for instance almost every build is full of flavour and vapour.
