Recommended pod system

Hi guys. I'm in the market for a pod system but I have very limited knowledge about whats out there and I dont have the time or money to go through each one so I'm asking the pro's.

I've been vaping for about 3 years and currently my go to setup is a puma with a drop RDA.

I need something thats cheap to buy and maintain but well build. I don't really care for tons of clouds but flavor should be there. Battery life should be good as I dont walk around with a power plant strapped to my back. Coils should last and if they dont they should be cheap. If possible it should be able to take nic salts and "normal" juice because I heard that nic salts is not for everyone. Below is a list of a few I have on my list but need to hear from people that actually use these things. Real life experience is key.

Have a look at the Aspire Nautilus AIO. Been using mine for about a week now and am quite impressed. The coil units have been around forever - so tried and tested. And it does come with a nic salt coil unit too.

Artery Pal 2!! Have been on a coil for about 4 weeks now (not my only device but used often). Flavour on the mesh coil is on point! Far better than my breeze 2 and my smok novo in my opinion. Build quality is also great. Only issue is filling the pod can be a little bit of a pain.

I started vaping on a Twisp Cue, got me off the stinkies. After using regulated mods and purchasing a few dud pods I decided to get the Smok Nord. Much better IMO. Refilling is easy and battery life is good. Still on my first coil after 2 weeks.

The one thing I wish it had is adjustable airflow. I would prefer a tighter draw on the MTL setup. What is cool though is that you can change the coil and use it as a sub-ohm DL as well. I have an extra pod that I use for this purpose.

I have tried a plethora of pod systems from all the Suorin systems, OVNS and Aspire breeze and the Lost Vape Orion is my go to Pod system. Great battery life, Great Flavor for a pod system and pods last a fair while.

Only drawback is pods are not difficult to get but only a select number of vendors keep them.

Other plus is now get the Orion Q thats much more affordable than the Original Go with the DNA Go chip.

@Franky3 From your list I've tried the Breeze 2, ZERO as well as the mini fit.

If I had to choose between the 3, my pick would go to the ZERO. For me, the zero seems miles ahead of the other ones. The adjustable power output options makes it stand out for me because some pod devices lack in power output which results in a 'dead' vape. With the zero, there's a decent amount of power which makes the vape experience miles ahead of the other options.

If flavor is a priority, the ZERO again is the best option because it uses Vaporesso's CCell pods. This also means that the pod lifespan is a bit better but do note that using higher VG Eliquids or sweet Eliquids may cause the lifespan to decrease.

If you are not sold on the idea of the ZERO, I would also suggest taking a look at the Innokin EQ (I think pods are a bit pricey) or the SMOK Nord (Cheap coils, cheap device). SMOK has been doing an excellent job with their pod devices and the Nord does seem like it will stack up to the ZERO. Based off of the reviews I've seen, the Nord is definitely an option to consider as it uses regular coils as well as mesh.

It goes without saying that pod devices do have their limitations. The biggest limitation would be that you should use Eliquids that have a ration of 60VG or less (50/50 preferably) and you should use juices that have little/no sweetener.


TL;DR: The ZERO is an excellent pod device. I would pick that one from your list. If the ZERO isn't your style, the SMOK Nord or Innokin EQ may be better suited to you.

Have spoken to a few shops and seems that this is turning into a high seller.

I would really not recommend the Smoant Karat, I have one that I am testing for review. The device is great, but the pods leak even if tightly closed and the draw is a little bit too tight for my liking.

These are not my opinions but rather those of my wife who has used both of these.

Aspire Breeze 2:
Pros: Very good flavour, decent battery life, if a pack of 5 coils are bought it's fairly cheap
Cons: You need to finish a flavour, clean out the tank, replace the coil and then only can you put in a new flavour

Vaporesso renova zero:
Pros: Small, very good flavour, okay battery life, swapping flavours is as simple as putting in a new coil/pod, cheap
Cons: Have had one go bust after just 3 months of use (battery dead)

We have been using the Aspire Nautilus AIO for a few months now. We (HRH and I) are still impressed. See review by @DrKolver here and @Timwis here. I considered the Zero at the time, but the lower battery capacity and lesser known coil units swayed me to the Nautilus. @Timwis reviewed it here and @daniel craig here.

@daniel craig I use an Aspire Breeze 2. Two different coils are available for it, one sub-ohm and the other a 1.something (can't remember as I don't use this one). If one uses the sub-ohm coil, any juice can be used with it and that's what I do. It's mostly 70/30 juice which I vape in it, without any problems.

The reason I didn't enjoy the 0.6 was because the power output seemed a bit too less for my liking.

I only ever use the 1 ohm coil now but with 50/50 or 60/40 only. I have found that if you are experiencing some dry hits or inefficient wicking, you can poke holes on the coil using a thin needle. This seems to be working for me.
