Unboxing
The kit is neatly and securely packaged in 2 separate blue colored single level cardboard boxes with matching lids and both is then covered with a slide off sleeve containing pictures of the tube mod and tank on the front and information regarding the mod, content of the kit and product specifications on the back. A segmented foam molded insert securely holds the mod in place, and a USB charger is included under this in the box which also contains a set of spare O-rings for the tank and information cards. The box containing the tank includes a spare coil and replacement bubble glass also in a molded insert to keep everything from moving around and keeping everything safe during transportation.
The Mod kit I received contained a black coated Mod with grey pictures in a graffiti style, similar to the Space Black edition on the official website, but with different pictures and with the tank matching the design.
Package Contents included (Standard Edition) :
- 1 x Twister 80W VW tube Mod.
- 1 x 5 ml Fireluke 2 tank with 810 drip tip:
- 1 x TX2 mesh coil (0.2 Ohm, 40 – 80W Pre-installed).
- 1 x TX1 Mesh coil (0.15 Ohm, 40 – 90W).
- 1 x Replacement 5 ml Bubble Glass.
- 1 x O-ring Replacement set.
- 1 x USB Charger
- 1 x Warranty Card / 1 x User Manual / 1 x Warning Card.
The Twister kit certainly catches your eye due to the unique design used on the mod, and this makes it stand out and be different in a good way, instead of just seeing one color when opening the box. Normal metallic single color sets are however also available. The finish looks solid and durable and feels as if it’s coated with a protective layer that doesn’t show finger marks. The overall fit once assembled shows no gaps or blemishes and it looks like a high quality manufactured product. The only out of the ordinary part is the wattage adjustment ring situated on the base of the tube style mod, with a little window to see and click adjust your setting to the desired power level.

Opinion, likes and dislikes
This Mod Kit is something totally different visually, especially based on its looks with the different graffiti finishing’s offered. The kit and tanks are available in 6 graffiti colors and 7 metal colors:
The battery life was as expected due to the lower resistance coil requiring more power and available battery capacity, and it lasted quite well in conjunction with my other mods in rotation while running it at 45W. Due to this limited battery capacity you have to be prepared to re-charge it again during the day if this is the only mod you use. It performed very well during the time I used it. It looked a bit top heavy with the bubble glass tank, so I fitted a tank band to protect it should I bump it or if it fell over, something that however did not happen once, so it may just be that it looks that way. The button being the same color as the mod received for the review meant that I missed it once or twice, but this is not a problem with the rest as it doesn’t blend in like that on all of the options. I used my second finger to locate the charging port on the back and my thumb then automatically lined up with the button!
The replaceable coils mean you can play around and find / customize your preference and are also a great way to have a good vaping experience, meaning you get the best of both worlds, ease of use as well as good flavor. The Fireluke 2 tank gave a very pleasant vape experience with plenty of airflow, and even when partially closed there was still a lot. The flow is adjustable via an airflow ring on the bottom of the tank, but the airflow was a bit noisy, especially once you started to close it down, but not distractingly or overly so when compared with some other tanks.
The new coil system consisting of mesh and the tea fiber and organic cotton mix gave superb wicking with no dry hits while chain vaping, and no strange taste right from the start while the flavor was excellent. Even at 45 W it was not a hot vape, and I had to go over 60 W for me to start experiencing this. The flavor overall with both coils was very good, and to refill was a breeze with the sliding top fill system used. The slide system gave a good seal and no leaks from anywhere was experienced. I used 70VG / 30 PG juice for the tests and it handled it perfectly.
About the only thing I would have liked to change was the 810 drip tip as my personal preference is a 510, but as I did not have an adapter lying around I could not try it in this fashion to see what difference that would or could have made.
Overall, my impression of the Twister 80W Starter Kit is that it is shouts quality and style. The ease of using it combined with no overly complicated settings make it an absolute pleasure to use. The flavor produced will not disappoint either a beginner of a more advanced vaper. IMHO this kit will be best suited as a DL system, and it delivers here. The tank is quite thirsty, especially at the higher Wattage, so keep some spare juice at hand to ensure you do not run out when you can least afford it.
A sincere thank you to FreeMax for supplying the FreeMax Twister Kit for review and for giving me the opportunity to do a review on it. (All pictures used in this review is held under Copyright by FreeMax.)
