Voopoo Alpha Zip Kit

Overview
This review will focus on the new offering by Voopoo, The Alpha Zip Kit, consisting of the Alpha Zip mod paired with the new MAAT Sub-Ohm tank and coils. Mention will be made of the MAAT sub ohm tank only as it has already been reviewed in detail.
Unboxing
The Mod and tank is packaged in a dual level black cardboard box, with the actual Alpha Zip mod on the top level safely in its sponge bed, and the MAAT Tank in the bottom level with the other peripherals.
The Alpha Zip mod received was in a Stainless Steel finish with a black cross motif on the side panels, called the Knight finish.

Initial impression
The mod looks like a little square box, with the fire button residing on its own little raised platform. The mod is surprisingly light looking at the manufacturing material, Overall fit and finish is of great quality, and the look being a bit different from other offerings make it stand out in a crowd again.

Opinion, likes and dislikes
This is an extremely well built device with great finishes and excellent features that make it a pleasure to use. I had good battery life with the MT-M2 0.2Ω coil, and great flavor. With the new GENE Chip firing is virtually instantaneous and makes vaping using this mod extremely enjoyable. This kit is a great option for both novice and experienced vapers as the MAAT tank will not disappoint any newbies, and as they progress or for any more experienced vapers any RTA or RDA used in conjunction with it is sure to impress.
I had some doubts that the finish would scratch easily, but this did not come to the fore while testing. There was a hint of play on the battery door when you tried to move it, but under normal use this did not come to the fore, the magnets used to secure it are actually quite strong. The display was a bit of a letdown as it is quite dim making adjustment in sunlight virtually impossible, especially for older eyes, so do this inside if possible. Although it looks a bit boxy it fits the hand neatly and I did not feel that any of the edges make it uncomfortable to hold. The fire button with the big X in it, being on its own little raised platform made vaping in darkness very easy as it was easily to locate, a bonus for those that take a toot or two during the night without having to use a light.
Would I recommend it ? Most definitely, this is a great quality product with neat features, extensive protections built in to make it safe as well as great looks. It proved to be a comfortable carry around on a daily basis while testing and will definitely prove itself in any collection.
