Shipping Mods from the US - Need Help Please

Hi guys,

Urgently need your help.

I purchased a Lost Vape mod from a store in the US and had it shipped to my Aramex address in New York. Aramex are now saying that they do not ship e-cigarettes, or any e-cigarette accessories (which worries me as well because I ordered some things from 3FVape), and now want it shipped somewhere else or they will have it destroyed.

I then contacted Fedex locally who are telling me that they cannot help me, and that I have to contact Fedex in the US as they will be able to tell me what they can and cannot do, and also quote me if they are willing to ship it.

Then contacted DHL, who tell me that since April this year, they also no longer ship e-cigarettes.

Does anybody know who else I can get in contact with locally that will be able to assist, or what is everybody else doing when ordering from overseas ?

I ship via FedEx and DHL often from MyUS and have never had an issue unless there are batteries on animal products involved.

Sign up with MyUS and always use them.

@GSAvaper - if you are going to take advise from anyone about importing, it's @Rob Fisher... his vape collection probably has more air miles than the majority of the forum combined.

@GSAvaper the minimum charge is around the $55 mark. I thought they were expensive till I did some research and MyUS are always cheaper than doing it any other way!

There are small items I want from the US stores and to ship directly just wouldn't work so I send to my MyUS and they hold onto the parcels and consolidate and ship when I have an optimum package. Even shipping from China is quicker for me ti ship to MyUS.. to keep parcels away from the SA Post Office which is always a major hold up.

The only issue is you need to be honest in the values you give to MyUS because they have a reputation to keep up as being honest because when the parcels arrive 95% of the time it sails through customs and on the rare occasion it is stopped by customs it only takes a day or two before being released.

Many thanks @Rob Fisher I dont usually ship that much, but I feel a lot more secure now knowing you have used them so much. Just did not want to have my mod disappear and end up with endless struggles. BTW when I contacted DHL locally they were quoting in the region of R1700 if they were to somehow ship it to me, so this is definitely a much better option. many thanks again, I really appreciate your help.
