Show us your builds - Drippers (RDAs)

Thanks @Silver

Well, I'm looking at unregulated box mods now :p I'm loving the sub 0.3 ohms. with my drilled out iGO-W its not getting too hot, so its a very nice vape. I figure an unregulated box mod, will see me to the 0.07-0.14 range without being too dangerous. Also looking at getting a mutation RDA and a Tobh.

Looking at buying from cigreen direct. their tank box mod clone is $20.00 :p (and its pretty legit, since its the same thing that guys in the states are selling for like $50-60). Also now owning something made my cigreen, I can feel that they aren't skimping too much on the quality of their clones.

Also want to get some odd ball stuff, like the Nucleus RDA and the Fogatti Switchblade.

But my wallet needs to regenerate a bit after being raped by the duties and shipping on my stuff.

The Stillare actually feels a lot more constricted. The spaced out coils seem to have made the wicking work way more efficiently, haven't had a dry hit on it yet. I'm also using a modified micro coil on my kayfun, and its doing wonders. down to 0.33 ohms on that (little bit too hot for my liking, so will rebuild it when its empty)

I'm going to try a more exaggerated spacing out of the coils tonight on my other iGO-W (centre build, with the inside of the coils being tight, but then loosening up as them go out, so that the coil follows the same arc as the lip of the drip well) I'm thinking that spreading it out like that will further help the wicking, and create massive vapor, because more wick will be heated up. . .

I did a test run of that idea last night, with a piece of twisted 24AWG. Was a major PITA to fit through the post holes, so i could only do the one coil, but it showed some promise. With some twisted 28AWG or plain 24AWG, it'll totally fit i think.

iGO-W (Larger spaced dual coil)

Wire: 24AWG Kanthal
Wraps: 10 per coil, spaced out
ID: 3mm
OHM's: 0.50

:p you win some, you loose some, this build sucked. takes too long to heat up, then stays too hot too long, and chows all your juice.
Flavour was very good though, vapor production was meh, at best.

Heres some pics anyways :p

Have anyone tryed the JUMBO Coil?

Yes. I've been vaping on 3mm id coils for a while now. Ugly coils (spacing between the wraps). They work best for me. Using them in my zenith v2 and in my atomic. awesome flavour.

Must try that for my 4mm Ekowool. What gauge wire do you use? Do you do duals in the Atomic?

lol....I only do duals. I'm not one for single coils ever since I gave up on tanks. Got a brand new Kayfun Lite lying here somewhere. Never been used. Gonna lend it to a friend now.

I use 26g wire on a 3mm drill bit and I did 7 wraps on the zenith @ .43 ohms and busy doing a new one for the atomic (also dual) and will be doing 5 wraps on those and will probably be around .3x ohms. Gonna use both on my new Reo when she arrives later today. Will see which one works best and stay with that. The one not chosen for the Reo, will go to my Sigelei 100w for dripping. (will just plug the feeding hole with a broken off toothpick end)

Still waiting for my 454 Big Block and my Tobh V2 atty for the Sigelei. They're floating somewhere in the SAPO void.

Edit: (and this is for @JakesSA ) When you plug a feeding hole on the atty with a toothpic (broken off), you'll find later that it's gone. It's not. It moves up the feeding hole to the end of the screw. Just found that out today. It moves all by itself. It doesn't go into the center post, just to the end of the adjusting screw.
Wonder how that happens....lol. Just thought I'd mention it. :p

Ye larger ID seems to wick better for me. More vapor too.

Just did a very ordinary build in my kayfun, 1.3mm ID micro cool 8 wraps of 28awg. It's Vaping like a champ.

That said, can't wait to get my hands on my Vulcan.

Also going to try a twisted 24awg sleeper build in my stillare either tonight or this weekend.

Pretty solid performer this. If i had to do it again I'd use different wire, quad twisted 28AWG, is a ***** to work with, and looks really untidy. Maybe twisted 24AWG, would be easier. Managed to get a ton of juice in it, my meagre wicking skills are improving :)

I did a twisted coil with 4 strands of 32g kanthal, the best coil for me so far, heats up very fast and gives my very juicy vapour.

This build it pretty responsive, just not very pretty :p

and another build :p

iGO-W (Dual nano coil)

Wire: 24AWG Kanthal
Wraps: 11 per coil
ID: 0.6mm
OHM's: 0.27

Puts out about the same as the micro coil build on my other iGO-W, Slightly more intense flavour, and much more responsive.

Scratch that, vapor production is way more, than the micro coil build. solid 15% easy.

Trying a better wicking setup

I don't know the ohms here but I did a twisted 26g sleeper build on my legend rda. 6 wraps each. Pretty neat. Flavor is great. Wicks really great. Vapor production is top notch. Definitely a build I'll keep in here for a while

Yip, that is so neat it could be used as jewelry. Well done, Sir. Enjoy.

Wanted to try this twisted coil :)

Came out nice for a first try. I think i will keep this one for a wile :)

Nice @kimbo , 'n boer maak 'n plan ;)

I love twisted wire coils, such a big difference over plain single strand Kanthal :D

I'm loving these nano coils.

Going out to visit another guy today who hasn't seen a rebuildable, going to let him Vape off of some of my gear, see if I can convert him.

Hey people, got another one

iGO-W char-grilled, single micro coil

Wire: 24AWG Kanthal
Wraps: 5
ID: 1.75mm
OHM's: 0.38

I drilled the top cap of my iGO-W about 3mm above the stock air hole, then torched the crap out of it. Really really happy with the vapor, its tasty, and despite the low resistance its actually not too hot.

Stillare (Dual Parallel Build)

Wire: 28AWG
Wraps: 6 per coil (parallel)
ID: 1.3mm
OHM's: 0.31

Performance is about the same as the 0.25 ohm micro coils i took out. It heats up a little quicker, and the vape is a little cooler. That said it's chucking :p

Vulcan has landed :)

Already done 2 builds in it. Also got me some lenses for my phone, Sorry for the number of photos :)

So far I'm really impressed with it, the draw is pretty tight, but the flavour is amazing. and its really easy to build in.

Vulcan Clone (Dual High OHM Macro Coils)

Wire: 26AWG
Wraps: 12 Per Coil
ID: 3.2mm
OHM's: 0.80

I wanted to make something a little higher, to put on my eVic Supreme, I'm vaping it at 27.6W, the flavour is intense :) this build fits better with the airflow of the vulcan than the other 2 builds I've tried. Will be interesting to see what I can get out the vulcan when my Tobh arrives, because the barrels are interchangeable.
