Show us your builds - Drippers (RDAs)

Cool @MurderDoll! How's the vape? Investing in some Kanthal will definitely be worth your while.

Ps. Dedicated dripper SUYWWACS established here with plenty of Trident builds.

Ah awesome. I was looking for that thread earlier.
Couldn't find it was looking like ass clearly. Lol.

Its vaping awesome hey! I got some 26g Kanthal now. Wanna do a build on it and see what I can come up with.

So I picked up some 26g Kanthal from VK.

Had a go at it doing a dual coil on the Trident dripper.

6 wraps.
It came out as 0.2 ohms. Ha ha.

Wonder if I can vape this safely to see what it does.

Depends on the battery you are using.

Based on a calculator I used, the results were 88.2Watts and 21Amps

Although you may have a safe battery I don't think that your lungs could handle it, especially if it is anything more than 0mg nic

Yeah. It's 0mg that I am wanting to test it on.

It's one of those batteries from VK that ended up being fakes.

if you have 26G then you could do 10 wraps on a 2mm drill bit this will give you 1Ohm per coil, if you make two of them and run a dual coil setup it should give you 0.5Ohm and the nice thing about 10 wraps is that you will have alot of coverage area over your wicking...

Ok. So I did a very quick vape. With the stress of my face melting off.
At least I tried it. The adventurous side in me couldn't resist.

Was a small puff. Massive cloud.

Now to pull it apart and try something safer.

i would personally not vape on anything below 0.5Ohm to be safe
I have no problem with anyone going very low resistance, but then you must have some experience at building coils, know Ohm's Law and know what your batteries can handle and be able to trust your batteries.

Take 2.

10 wraps. Dual coil.
0.4 ohms now.

If it aint efest purple 30A batteries I wouldn't run anything lower than 1ohm either

The stock coil was 0.8ohms and that seemed fine.
So basically I should pack it all away then?
Not at all, we are just trying to give you information. The decision is yours. Here is another chart. Have you read the information in the stickies in this forum?

I'll be getting a Panasonic battery soon from the Vamo.
But thats not gonna make any difference really as it's ratings are pretty much the same as the AW.

I guess it will be a safer thing to pack it away until I can get myself some efest batteries. No point having gear and no face to vape with.
Also don't think the charger I have will be appropriate either then? So thats another one where I will have to save up for.

The charger should not be an issue, although you'll definitely benefit from using the Nitecore or Luc as charging time is decreased and it prevents overcharging, meaning you may charge overnight.

As @Matthee said, we're just giving you information, the decision lies with you. Equipping yourself with battery safety information is really the best thing you can do. See the link above.

What I would do if you only have 26g is take about 9-10 wraps around a 1.5mm id, that should give you about 1 - 1.2 ohms. Stick with a single coil for now, the Trident is well equipped to handle that, and the vape is great. I suggest you perfect the single coil before building duals. Just my opinion.

The problem is that we don't know the limits of those fAW's as there are no standard to which they were built. 1 ohm + is no guarantee of safety but it's a risk I'd be willing to take if I was itching.

Thanks very much for your honesty. I would much prefer honesty which puts a damper on my ideas than being told to go ahead and getting hurt.

I have 32g as well.
Got the 26g as I thought the 32 was offering too much resistance.

I pulled one of the coils out now to see what the resistance was. It gave a reading of 0.9 ohms.
So it seems very close to what you were saying now.

I'll keep it on the back burner for now. I'll invest in some proper batteries at the end of the month.

So I gave it one more go.

This time using 32g Kanthal.

Gave it 7 wraps and went for the dual setup.

Ended up at 0.9 ohms.
Much safer avenue I think?
Also higher than the stock coil which I used non stop.

5 pawns Grandmaster tastes even more amazing on the mech with the 0.9ohms coils!
