SMOK RPM 40 - Salts or Freebase

Hi all

A mate at work has a Smok RPM40 pod system and has asked me to make some juice for him

He is currently using Nic Salts but is asking if it is possible to use Freebase nic in these pods instead.

I have zero experience with this and so would appreciate some guidance on if Freebase is do-able in these pod systems? If it is an option, what PG/VG ratio would be best?

You can use normal 70/30 juice in this device with either the RPM pod and 0.6 mesh RPM coil or Nord pod with 0.6 mesh Nord coil. For MTL 0.8 mesh Nord coil is best in my opinion and suitable VG/PG ratio is anything from 50/50 to 60/40. My personal preference is a MTL 12mg 55/45 with 0.8 mesh coil

I am testing the device and with the supplied coils wouldn't be suited for high mg or nic salts, its a restricted lung hit with both coils. The device has no adjustable airflow and although there are some MTL coils available the pods themselves get plenty of air so just relying on the bore of the coil head to tighten the draw, a loose MTL is the only MTL that would be possible with this device and really it's a restricted DL device. 50/50 doesn't flood the coil head but i have mainly been using 70VG e-liquid and with both supplied coils it wicks fine even when chain vaping.
