A quick question to the forum.

I got this tank and used it with the pre fitted x-baby Q2 coil. It states its operating wattage to be 40-80W and ideal 55-65W. I vape it at 30W. It has been 4 days now and the coil is done. Can this be, and if so why? I do not chain vape nor vape excessively.

Unfortunately the coils are complete shit the last year or so.
Get the GT Core Ccell coil instead. It’s slightly more expensive R70-R80) but they last approximately 3-4 weeks.
It’s a ceramic core (the only ones I’ve ever had good results from) works at 15-35W, best at 35W.
There are 4 different varieties in the GT so make sure you use the ccell ceramic.

They aren’t widely available atm, h2vape in Boksburg has as well as vaporite in Benoni.

Also depends hugely on what juice you vape.
Certain ingredients kills a coil. Sweeteners as well.

I have a sour apple juice I really love, but that juice will kill a fresh coil before the tank is even empty.

Makes sense. I make my own juice but only one has some sweetener in. Will try another coil and see. Maybe I just got a crap coil

What VG ratio you using? Maybe try 60:40? Also high flavouring % kill coils. Could just be dud coils as well.

I've had before that the wicking holes weren't even open.

I don't know how different the x version is to the normal ones but I went through a 5 pack m2's and 3 q2's within 2 weeks on 2 mods. What I have found is by lowering the wattage to maximum 45watts helps a lot. Make sure you don't have a suger farm for juice too.

My sister has been doing this 45watt maximum because she likes a colder vape and her q2 coil has been lasting for 3 weeks now. Don't ask I have no idea how she gets that right. All I know is she mostly vapes fruity flavours and not a lot of custards and creams at 70/30. Also trying to draw softer helps but I cannot confirm this. I also started to make sure I leave it a few seconds before another drag and not take drags more than 1.5 seconds.

But then I went and bought the vapresso gt core coils and haven't had a dry hit or burned coil yet. I've been vaping these on 80/20 mostly and its been more than a week now so lets see how this goes.
