Hi guys.

Does anybody know of a place I can get SS Clapton or SS fused Clapton or at least the correct wire configuration to make my own. I'm currently on a kanthal Clapton and it is horrible compared to my normal ss24g spaced coils.

The MKWS Brand that is most commonly available for SS Clapton wire on Fasttech is very cheap and decent. However, you will need considerable patience (most likely one to two months) for it to arrive via normal free shipping. If you would like faster, local options:

I've also wondered and I think @n0ugh7_zw 's answer probably makes the most sense, especially when using a dual coil build with something like the 26 / 30 fused claptons. I use 28 + 32 ('simple') claptons for dual coil builds (usually 2.5 mm diameter, around 7 wraps each, which generally brings me to a 0.3'ish range). I would think that those monster claptons might work well for single coils or for the super-sub-ohm vapers (with the appropriate mods and batteries) though.

Hi guys,

So i made my first tripple wire coil yesterday. Used SS316 26G and span them together tightly. It came out looking good i wrapped it around a screw driver with a ID of about 3.2mm but it unwraps easily so probably 3.5mm now if not more. Anyway it came out good i loaded 1 coil and it read 0.27ohm at 6 wraps. Thought why not just run 1 coil at those ohms it seemed fine.

Preheated them quickly and it warmed up nice and evenly as my spaced coil builds normally do. So I'm happy with this have enough wire wrapped for another coil. I vape it at 50w and it is as if i have 2 coils in.

Here's a little picture below. Please note first time going single coil and wrapping so not neat but even for a beginner like me using basic stuff it works fine.

Hello there,I make my fused Clapton coils using S.S. 316 wire usually 26gx2 wrapped with 36g and using the Bead a lon Wire tamer method with great success. I buy wire from eBay or from the China sites(FT. 3f tapes etc.)
