With the advent of the Vapor Shark, M80 and SX Mini and the likes I think there is going to be some discussion on the subject... so let's start here!

@Yiannaki I have some Nic 2000 in my paw and a roll of it coming... and chatting to the Rayonati on ECF I think I need to start playing with slightly wider diameter coils... and reading your posts as well it would appear I need to start spacing my coils as well?

2mm coils (maybe I should try my coil making thingy again now that @kimbo showed me how to use it)... or should I just get a screw to wrap on so the coils are spaced?

Great idea for a thread @Rob Fisher

What guage Ni200 do u currently have and what gauge is the wire that's arriving?

Coils using Ni200 need to definitely have larger IDs.

I think either 2.5 or 3.0mm

I know on the DNA 40 boards, the coils must be spaced for it to work correctly.

The one thing I like about the SX mini is that it can fire from 0.08 and upward vs the DNA 40 which is from 0.1 and up. A small difference but every bit counts with nickel resistance. From the reading I've done, an ideal nickle build is around 0.12 - 0.18

I recall someone saying the kuro coiler can roll parallel coils but I stand to be corrected. If it can then this would be easy peasy and one could just pull the one wrap off and have a spaced coil.

I have 28g and 28g coming! ;-) Roger that on bigger diameter. Thanks!

@Yiannaki I actually used the Master Coiler (same as the Kuro) to do my parallel and then removed the one strand (as you instructed) and it yielded a perfect spaced coil - thanks again for the tip :D

@Rob Fisher shouldn't this thread be called Tempville? :p
