Having enjoyed the Therion 166 thus far, so much so that I've literally sold almost everything else... It died on me last night... I fell asleep on the couch with the working mod in hand. I was about for about 20 mins tops when I woke up to go to bed. On the way from the couch to the bed, in my half dazed state, I took a nice long slow pull of fresh air.... The Therion refused to fire and gave me a 'check battery' error. Assuming it was flat batteries, I switched it em out from the usual turds to samsung 30Q's fresh from the charger... Still dead. Played and toyed a bit with different sets of batteries to no avail. I'm observing on the screen, which only comes on while charging, that the battery indicates to be empty, when it turns on the mod the screen shows check battery.

Upon further investigating the problem this morning via Escribe... I am observing in the Device Monitor function that the cell numbered 1 has only 0.01V and the cell numbered 2 shows 5.18V.

I am 100% certain that the batteries are fine as they have been tested in 2 other devices, and they work fine in the charger with a reading of 4.2V. The minute is disconnect from the USB cable the mod goes off... DEAD!! Not even 2 months old, its been reliable and faithful thus far so that's the disappointing part because it was set to become my all day daily driver and travel companion.

Anyway, contacted the dude I bought it from in Centurion, @Villagevapes, and he offered to come collect the mod from me personally to have it checked out and hopefully, fingers crossed, replaced if the fault can't be resolved.

@Amir this is what I did

"Awesome Aneego just tried it and guess what....she's alive again bud. Thanks so much. It's weird it was on the right batts so changed it to power supply and then back to the lithium and it liked it.... All systems are nominal"

EDIT: went to battery settings in Escribe, changed battery to power source, flashed the file to the mod, unplugged and then changed back to 8650 and reflashed

Tried that and failed miserably. My vendor came personally to my office to supervise when I told him about my issue and the fix you have done that I found while searching the internet last night. It didn't work so he took the mod with him and he's bringing me a new one tonight. Just as well cause I like new stuff anyway and it's the last carbon/elephant one in stock

Possible... How would this happen though? My Alien has been through some sh*t with me... Never once did it fail or falter. I even got beat up with it in my pocket and have my son throw it across the room... Scuffed a lil, scratches even... But still a mighty mod!!

I've babied the Therion. Wipe it down almost daily and never build on it. I treat her real gentle like a lover should... I feel so betrayed!!

So highly annoyed right now. Even though the problem is being sorted out amicably it just bugs me because it's a really good device, pricey but I made the mistake of assuming that the quality would be up to scratch.
