Why can VapeCon not alternate locations like the Rage gaming festival. One year Pretoria, one year Durban, one year Cape Town.
I would really like to go but Pretoria is too far and im sure there are thousands of others who feel the same.

Numbers @Modyrts. Organising something of this magnitude is massive and there are just not the number of attendees to justify the effort in Durban. YET. I'm sure the time will come but based on the numbers at Vape Meets (or lack thereof) in Durban makes it unviable right now.
Fair enough I can understand that. However the reason there are so few vape meets is not because there are no people interested but because in Durban there is nothing for us to do or reason for us to meet such as events.
However i still see your point.
Don't get me wrong... I would love Vape Meets and Vape Expo's in Durban! VapeFest had the expo and attendance was really bad. For some reason Durbanites don't seem to attend these very well... if they did there would be more.
Maybe we should try a Vape Meet in Durban again sometime and see if there is support!
Events in Durban are never marketed very well. So most of the interedted population are either unaware of unimpressed and not interested.
Its soemthing ive noticed with other things such as concerts and others.
That sounds like a good idea however.

We've been a little bit quiet on the VapeCon front the past week or two, but let me assure you that behind the scenes, preparations are in full gear and we are full steam ahead!
3 weeks to go!
Happy to report that we are on track and things are looking set for an incredible event on 25/26 August.

only got the thumbs up this morning that I won't be needed at work , that's why the ticket buying and RSVP ing is happening all at once
The tickets are printed and up on the calendar , I'm only attending Saturday , Sunday is reserved for my birthday do ... will see how much birthday money I can collect up front- big grin . Looking fwd to meet all the nice people in person.

I understand the statistics but then again we dont really have many promotional programes in durban
For instance ICON an anime and gaming convention. 60% of the people who were interested in going didnt even know it happened because there are no advertisements of these things in durban
That was the national vaper survey promoted by vpasa. Ran from May to August this year. Had nothing to do with vapecon or any other conference or get together.
It shows the number of vapers in each province of the people that participated in the survey. This is the kind of information the organisers have to work with.
You can see that almost half the vapers are in Gauteng. So logistically it makes sense to have it in Gauteng.

VapeCon 2018 - brought to you by ECIGSSA
It will take place on Saturday AND Sunday 25-26 August 2018 and will be held at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria.
Last time we said it would be MEGA EPIC and it sure was! This time it's going to be DOUBLE MEGA EPIC! Over two days!

Lets just say that VapeCon 2018 is going to be DOUBLE MEGA EPIC and not to be missed! It's going to be a weekend of fun and excitement for all. Not to mention some fabulous deals and the chance to see what's hot!
There are going to be lots of competitions, giveaways and prizes. While this event is open to all, we are going to do something special again for the ECIGSSA members. For some of these giveaways, we are going to be making use of the RSVP list. So please RSVP with the blue button below. (with a normal browser - not Tapatalk)

You know at this point in time the team (and myself) are in a major dichotomy. On the one hand I am so excited that I have butterflies often and a deep sense of "I can't wait". But on the other hand, we are racing so fast to get all the final finishing touches done that we could easily do with time standing still for a while... Lol
Nevertheless...
VapeCon 2018 preparation is progressing well. All the major aspects are in place. We are making good progress on the finer details. We are all on track despite still a lot to get through.
VapeCon 2018 is going to be very special indeed!
