I am currently waiting for a forum to be set up and believe that this thread will be moved to that forum at an appropriate stage. I cleared this with Rob Fisher because I need to get a move on. The reason will be apparent below:
I went to Vapecon believing I knew something about the market. Nobody would buy a Variant (they sell for about R12000). Guess what? I was wrong and have orders for 2 of them. I also have an order for 1 Goliath (it was a special production order so not sure I will get this but I can ask).....
So, I am placing a special order on the Philippines to get these products. Because they will never be held in stock (and hence tie up capital) and because they are so expensive, I am not focussing on margins. I reckon that with shipping I will land the 350W Variant/250W Variant Slim and supply (with VAT) at around R10 500 (I still have to see the shipping).
The catalog from Vicious Ant reflects the real problem. Real good discounts from the supplier are geared to US type volumes, we can never hope to meet them. We can however get as good a price as possible for the more unique items, the costly items, and so forth if we put all the toys in one box and place a single decent order.
NOTE - No prepay, I will fund the order. I will confirm pricing before confirming order as well. They use DHL so no delay in delivery.
NOTE - The type of goods I am talking about include the 250W Variant Slim and 350W Variant, the new Radius, and so on. I am not talking about the standard stuff (Phenom, Prodigy, Cyclone, Drip Tips), I brought those in already.
