What is the little pin between the two batteries that also makes contact with the gold plate on the battery door?

It looks like it connects to the board for some sort of voltage sensing. My wife’s Tesla wye has a wire from the battery contact at the bottom onto the pcb.

the batteries are in serie that pin connects the batteries to the bord to charge and get a reading of it

Separate batt voltage indication and balanced charging.
Same feature on the Smok Alien.

Yep, ripped my captain apart and there is indeed a wire attached to that little guy. From what I've read online it is for reading the batteries sepperately and so assists with balanced charging.
