It depends... If you chose to cook your "free range rude" you will have lost most of the immune system benefits. Personally, I prefer to go the "steak tartare" route and preserve as much of the nutrients and related beneficial nutrients as possible. To cook or not to cook..., well that depends on what instrument they played or if they are vegan or not...
