Reminds me of a company van I drove about 18 years ago... wishbones and bushes had to be replaced, the appy could not get any of the bolts loose the conventional way... the moment he came out of the tool store with a 4pound hammer and a shifting spanner I left the workshop as I did not want to see the carnage that ensued afterwards...

Reminds me of the old line, (adage?); "...when in doubt, use a hammer, the bigger the doubt, the bigger the hammer"

Heard this old saying from a fitter once.
Went something like...
If you can't turn it, fix it.
If you can't fix it, f..k it.
