Whatever the cost lands at after customs etc. I thinks it's only fair we all split the cost dude. You've done alot of effort to get this done.

and for the Dudes that like to match their goods
look what I found locally

I agree with all the previous comments, all the costs need to be shared equally between all the buyers involved. All the costs need to be added up at the end and then divided up by the number of mods, so if there were 20 mods in the shipment then all the costs need to be divided by 20, not divided by the number of people in the group. I ordered 4 mods so I need to pay in for 4 parts of the cost pie.

@VapeSnow you should not be carrying any of the extra costs man

Thanks for recapping the group buy rules @Andre

Two major points are
- not for profit
- fully transparent

@VapeSnow, I am standing by, let me know when you need me to move this to the Group Buys section
I am not part of this group buy but I would like to suggest something. May be add another point just below "-not for profit" i.e. "-not for loss" as well. I agree with the sentiments here, buying from over the seas is very tricky especially if you don’t know the unseen costs upfront, currency exchange commission, RoE fluctuations from the time the process is started to the time the order is placed and worst of all, SARS duties and taxes.

Thanks @Blu_Marlin

On this issue, the reason why its not for profit and fully transparent is that it gives group buy participants a degree of comfort in knowing they are not going to get charged extra or ripped off.

But I do agree with your point @Blu_Marlin , the group buy originator should not be expected to make a LOSS in any way.

@VapeSnow, i think most of the participants would feel very comfortable if all the extra costs were split between the number of devices being ordered as @BumbleBee pointed out. I know @Rob Fisher had an excellent spreadsheet to that effect for some group buys he arranged before. That might help you. Rob, if you find that can you perhaps post an image here to show as an example...

Guys don't stress about it. For now it was only a extra R680 that i forgot to count in as they ask a fee for the wire transfer.

Everything is still on track and looks good. Lets see what customs work out to when this beauties land in SA and then we can start arrangements. But for now its not a train smash and guys enjoy this awesome warm Sunday!!

You see, for R680 you could have ordered yourself another one. No hassles, we do the sums when it arrives and customs has had its way with us.

I agree wholeheartedly with what a number of people have said above - @VapeSnow should not have to bear any more costs than any one else in the group buy and any unexpected expenses should be equally divided once all the expenses have been finalized and can be calculated. Thanks again for the effort that you have gone to in organising this!

All good. We will talk about the funds when the mods is in SA.
