He came back this morning. He used it a few times since and seems he has what some of the older Subtank owners experience: the actual base is faulty. The 510 pin is ever so slightly too short so it does not make propper contact with the rba kit, or the coil. So when it works the ohms are all over the place.

May I recommend the Smok v4 if you want this size? I have had one for almost 2 weeks now. 5ml and lots of flavour and clouds. I take mine right up to 100w.

Else my Subtank Mini is also great. Just make sure you get the v2 - that is the white or black one. The rba base is completely new.
