try a different coil, sometimes the coil base isnt making contact with the air flow base.

Do you get a reading with a DMM(on resistance scale) checking between the center pin and outer case of the atty?

I will give that a go..but then what do I do with the RDA

if its one of the occ coils then i wouldnt stress too much, just get another one. the main thing is the RBA base should work.

maybe the vendor will take it back and swap it out

No its the RBA that's already on there I do not use the coils...

ahhh dammit...

have you tried stripping everything apart and then reassembling

Yep twice... and I have the same tank that works fine.

Im guessing the center pin isnt low enough to make contact with your mod, which is why it isnt seeing it.
Theres probably nothing wrong with the tank, but only a check with a meter will determine that.

Thanks but my other sub tank is fine and just checked the occ coils works..

If it does the same with coils, return it. Also, if you do get it going, check if the ohm is correct or for ohm changes when you adjust the AFC. If the ohms are way off or it changes with the AFC, return it. I had 2 tanks that did this (one dead and one with the AFC issue). It looks like sometimes there's a bad/dry connection when they press-fit the base section together.

Thanks... just plugged a OCC coil in and it worked.. but the RBA still nothing...

Hi Nick I had the same problem with my kangertech subtank mini on the rebuildable coil it has a little rubber seal at the bottom of it and that was not allowing the coil to screw in correctly check that out and see if it's not the culprit.

Was not sitting flush with the base I should say.

Remove the RBA base and then push the center pin up all the way. Check that the RBA base touches it and pushes it down when you screw it in fully.

What are the chances that a coil leg was cut/snapped when you tightened it down ? It just sounds fishy that the normal coils seem OK but the RBA does not.
I'd open that bit back up and verify it again. Usually not much that can go wrong there.

Have you tried using a multimeter as suggested and checking for a reading ? If you have an atty ohmmeter, you can also just check the resistance by touching the RBA center pin and sides on the meter without the base on the deck.

Also check that the ends of he coil are not touching the sides of the base as this effectively creates a short.

OK thanks guys.. I have it working on the eleaf but not the evic.. my other sub tank works fine on both.. I think I need to clean out the pin on the evic.. anyone know if it can be removed
