Ha ha. Not in that sense.

My company uses the copper wire to roll their own coils for Eddy current Testing.
So we always have a good supply of the stuff.
Thats how I would have been able to get hold of some for free.

You should build a simple coil with the copper just to see what the resistance measures out at
Would be interesting nonetheless
Not saying vape it at all, just for interest sake
Wonder if it will have a measurable resistance using the normal ohm testers we use

Great going @PeterHarris
What was the quad not giving you?
Flavour, TH, vapour?

I built the same thing some time ago (pics are somewhere on the forum)

I ran 2 wicks, one through each hole and worked a treat.

Thanks will try it

Wow,t hat is incredible. I absolutely love the inventiveness. Brilliant, going to give that a try just now. How does she vape?

A quick Flat Kanthal A1 Ribbon wire I wacked together. Really impressed with the flavor production of this flat ribbon wire. 5/6 turns around 1.5mm bit, results in 0.7 ohms res. Flavor is 9/10, TH is 10/10, Vapor is 10/10. From one single coil, this much flavor, I was pleasantly surprised.

I placed the air hole on the Trident right in front of the coil, 2.0mm air hole. I cannot beleive how much vapor she throws. Still amazed. Got to love the flat kanthal, 0.12*0.8mm.

So I did a dual coil.
10 wraps on 2mm ID.
Put it on the XGUN to get a ohm reading.

Reads 0.0 ohms.

are all the posts or screws properly tightened? also stick something else on the xgun to test if it's not the build in ohm reader that died

Also check what the limits are on the x-gun, most regulated mods will not read resistance below a certain threshold. The MVP for example reads "non," as it does when there is no atty attached, when the resistance is below 1 ohm.

Already pulled the coil apart.

Will build another one and make sure.

Dont know what the xgun's limit is tbh.

I've googled. And haven't found anything.

Anyway. I've had it fire on 0.7 ohms already.

Check if the legs on the coil are clipped properly and not touching the deck or anything.

Copper is an excellent conductor and even at 20 wraps, it will still be less than 0.1 0hm

Well done @MurderDoll
Most interesting
I guess thats why we dont use copper
Thanks for checking it out

I want to give this coil design a bash using double twisted 32g Kanthal in a RM2. Would this coil short if squeezed tight so coil strands touch?

Ok so im sure you guys know about the stove too coil. I decided to build a dual stovetop but with a "TWIST" :)

Im sure the coil masters will appreciate it.
