Show us your Builds - User Made Tank Coils (Protanks, Nautilus Etc.)

Thanks guys.

I used to do RC racing back in the day. Found one of my exhaust tips from the shell.

Now I just need to find a tank big enough for this beast. Ha ha ha!!

Man I loved on that site. Ha ha!

You may now kiss the bride....:p..... I pronounce thee.....man.....and umm....whatever(fill in the blank)...;)

just built a coil in a PT2 cup with cotton, it works great, but the grommit on top does not seal/touch the tube in the middle. will this not cause leaking or gurgling? how do i fix this? as the PT3 grommit sits higher than the PT2 seal

Zap a bit of cotton over the coil to fill the gap (flavor wick style), sorted the leak for me ;-)

Is it leaking ?

Try this, this works if a PT2 and a mPT2 coil is leaking/gurgling: take another grommit off the another pt2 coil, and put in on upside down so that you have two of them back to back - that should seal it off. (I don't know if it works on the mPT3 with a mPT2 coil, but worth a try)

Protank 3 (and aero tank) coils are not compatible with older versions however the older versions work in the protank 3

hey guys i found a video of a guy rebuilding PT3 coild for a aerotank MEGA, so we can use PT3 coild in the new aero tanks - which would probably mean we could use the new coils in our PT3's, but i cannot find a vid where someone is rebuilding a new aerotank mini/MEGA coil....

Too new, took a while for people to figure out the Nautilus coils, figure these are going to take some time too. Unless they look as much like the Nauti coils inside as they do outside

Just tried my first coil rebuild, don't think I'll be doing it again soon

My hands start shaking the moment I try to handle those tiny things, had to redo the coil 3 times, and when I finally had it done it was not even close to my stock coils in vape quality

Didn't take any photos though, if I decide to try again I will take a few to show

Dude, I'm just around the corner, shout if you need a hand

Will do, will wait until I have proper tools first though, don't have anything to measure ohms yet, or a torch, just winged it this time :-D

Biggest problem was the shaking though, so I'm glad I have a coil master close by if I need to 'outsource'

There are ways of getting around the shaking, don't tell anyone but I have the same problem

You have to tell me your secret some day! I'm normally fine, it's when I'm working with small stuff, coils, laptop screws etc. that I become a quivering wreck

here is my favourite go to coil build. 28 gauge kanthal a1, 10/9 wraps around a 2mm screwdriver, comes out at 1.7 ohms, vapes like a champ coil :)

1 - when did it start doing this?
it could be a dud coil.
did you clean your tank
did you clean your coil - blow on the top chimney to get rid of excess juice on coil

ah yes - the one on the right is the all new coil for the aero maga and mini, but they do work in all PT3 and mPT3's.

my wife has the "new" coil in het tank and no issues.
you could try tanking that silicone cup from the right and put it inverted on the one on the left if its leaking from the top.

but i think it might be leaking through the wicking down the inside.

did you leave your vape in a hot car by any chance?

is your battery connection full of juice?
if you look in the bottom hole of the coil can you see juice?

did you check that the o rings are still in the mPT3 where the glass sits top and bottom
